With the coming of the next English test, under the subject “Our World”, here is what you should know:

Group I – reading comprehension:

  • reading a text and interpreting its message;
  • finding synonims and references;

Group II – Grammar

  • defining and non-defining clauses;
  • linking words and phrases;
  • phrases “used to” and “be/get used to”;
  • double and correlative comparative.
  • phrasal verb “to break”;

Group III

  • writing an comment.

You shoud be able to:

Group I – reading comprehension
– understand the message of a text about the consumer society;

Group II – Vocabulary and Grammar
– recognise vocabulary related to the consumer society;
– distinguish the use of the present perfect and present perfect continuous;
– distinguish and use different verb tenses;
– use the adjectives in the correct order;

– distinguish and use the different contrast clauses;

Group III – Writing
– comment on a cartoon related to consumerism;
